Dr Tun graduated from Burma (Myanmar) in 2007. After spending a few years working as a hospital medical officer in Burma, he moved to Australia in 2013 and finished his residency at Latrobe Regional Hospital in 2015, where he gained various experiences such as acute medicine, mental health, general surgery, ENT,Urology, and general medicine. He then moved to Geelong University Hospital to gather more experience in emergency and geriatric medicine. After working two years in Victorian hospitals, he moved to South Australia to pursue General Practice as a specialty training through AGPT. He obtained a fellowship of RACGP in 2019. After spending six years in rural South Australia, he returned to Victoria.

He actively participates in clinical research trials and has been published in peer reviewed journals such as the Journal of the State Medical Society and Baylor University Medical Center’s Proceedings. At Hahnemann Hospital in conjunction with Drexel University, where he received extensive training in coronary as well as peripheral interventions and limb salvage procedures.

He then went to LSU Medical School in New Orleans where he was an Honors Program Graduate and finished in the top quartile of his graduating class. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, AL where he was selected as a Chief Internal Medicine Resident.
