On-site pathology in Point Cook. Juniper Avenue Medical Centre operates an in-clinic Dorevitch Pathology collection room, where most blood tests requested by your GP are bulk billed. It is a walk-in service with no separate appointment. Located at 2 Juniper Avenue, Point Cook. Pathology collection is open Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm.

Fasting tests — what to know
For tests that require fasting (lipid panel, glucose tolerance, fasting insulin), arrive before 11am, having had nothing to eat or drink except water for 10-12 hours. Coffee, tea, juice, milk and alcohol all break the fast.

Can I bring an external GP’s request form?
Yes — Dorevitch Pathology accepts request forms from any GP or specialist. Walk in any time during collection hours.
Is there a fee for collection?
No fee for the collection itself when the tests are bulk billed. Some specialised tests attract a private fee — Dorevitch will tell you upfront if any apply to your form.
How long do results take?
Results go to your GP electronically. You are usually notified by text, or by phone if a result is urgent, and you can book an appointment to discuss them.
Can children get pathology done here?
Yes — paediatric pathology including infant blood tests is available on-site. Bring your child’s request form and Medicare card.
