Biography

Dr. Semele Chakma is a dedicated General Practitioner with broad experience in both
overseas and Australian healthcare settings. She has worked with Point Cook Doctors and
Juniper Avenue Medical Centre, bringing over seven years of community-level experience
abroad and more than three years of hospital practice in Australia. Her extensive rotations
include ICU, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Women’s Health and Neonatology,
Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, and surgical assistance, all of which have
strengthened her patient management skills and clinical expertise.

Fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, and Chakma, Dr. Chakma is an effective
communicator and a valued team player who easily adapts to diverse healthcare
environments. She takes pride in having successfully transitioned into the Australian
healthcare system while building meaningful relationships with colleagues, patients, and
the wider community.

Beyond her professional life, she enjoys travelling, gardening, and cooking, with a deep
appreciation for nature. Passionate about patient care, Dr. Chakma strives to be recognised
