Medical Centre Care for Wyndham Vale Residents

Wyndham Vale is in the west of Wyndham, about 13 km by road from our clinic at 2 Juniper Ave, Point Cook. For people looking for medical centre care for Wyndham Vale households beyond their own suburb, Juniper offers GP and nurse appointments on weekday evenings and at weekends.

There is no Juniper clinic in Wyndham Vale, and we do not run sessions there. This page explains the drive and where we can help most.

Wyndham Vale in the 2021 Census

ABS QuickStats counted 20,518 people, and the median age was 31. One-parent families made up 20.4% of families, above the Victorian figure of 15.2%. Wyndham City’s suburb profile had already noted that Wyndham Vale had the largest share of single-parent households of any suburb in the municipality, and that 5.0% of residents needed help with core daily activities in 2016, above the Wyndham figure of 3.9%.

Long-term conditions sit closer to state levels here than in Point Cook. Diabetes was reported by 4.8% of residents and a mental health condition by 8.5%, compared with 3.7% and 4.8% in Point Cook.

Heading east on Heaths Road

From the middle of Wyndham Vale, most drivers take Heaths Road east to the Princes Freeway, leave at Forsyth Road and finish along Boardwalk Boulevard. That is about 13 km by road.

Our car park sits behind the clinic, with its entrance on Dunnings Road.

Care plans for ongoing conditions

Since 1 July 2025, a single GP Chronic Condition Management Plan has replaced the old GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangements, as set out by the Department of Health. Patients registered with MyMedicare access these plans through their registered practice, and a plan needs to have been prepared or reviewed in the last 18 months to keep access to Medicare-supported allied health.

Whichever of our doctors prepares your plan, it is bulk billed. Our chronic disease management and diabetes care pages describe what the reviews involve.

Support for your mental health

Low mood, worry and stress are reasons to see a GP, just as a cough or back pain is. A GP can talk things through, check your physical health and, where it fits, prepare a mental health care plan for Medicare-subsidised psychology sessions.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call Lifeline on 13 11 14 at any time, or 000 if you are in immediate danger.

Medical centre care for Wyndham Vale households

Weekday appointments run until 8:00pm, and weekends from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Phone consultations are available for some needs, which saves the drive when a face-to-face visit is not necessary. Results usually come by text, so you are not left waiting on a call. You can book online whenever it suits.

Who pays what

Four groups are bulk billed with every doctor here: DVA card holders, pensioners over 65, childhood and adult immunisations and GP care plans. Other appointments might involve a gap payment. Have your pensioner concession or DVA card with you so the right billing applies. Details are on the fees page.

Travelling from Wyndham Vale: your questions

Is there a charge if I miss my appointment?

A $30 fee applies for late cancellations and missed appointments. If something comes up on the drive, ring us as early as you can.

Should I register for MyMedicare at Juniper?

Only if Juniper is the practice you plan to keep seeing. Registration links you to one practice, which matters for care plans and longer telehealth. Reception can explain the steps on our registration page.

Can blood tests be taken at the clinic?

Yes. Dorevitch takes samples here Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 3:00pm, and on Saturday between 9:00am and noon.
